Election 2019

Following the local elections on Thursday 2 May, the Conservatives remain the largest party on Woking Borough Council, holding 14 out of 30 seats.  We were particularly pleased to see Ayesha Azad, Melanie Whitehand and Colin Kemp re-elected in Heathlands, Knaphill and Horsell respectively.  In addition, we were thrilled that Gary Elson was elected as the new councillor for Pyrford replacing the retiring Ashley Bowes.

Nationwide, these elections were very difficult for the Conservative Party and for us to make a net loss of just one seat in Woking really does constitute a very successful night in the circumstances.  Thank you to all of our activists and candidates who helped us deliver these results.

Full results can be seen on the Council's website:  https://www.woking.gov.uk/elections-and-voting/elections/local-election…
