The new St John's ward reunites St John's village with the Hermitage Estate and adds in other parts of the St John's parish such as roads off St John's Hill Road, roads off Goldsworth Road and Kingsways. The Conservative team there comprises Hilary Addison, Graham Cundy and our candidate for 2018, Steve Dorsett.
Steve has lived in and around Woking all his life. He grew up in Addlestone, went to school in New Haw and had his first job in West Byfleet, his second in Woking Town Centre, lived for several years in Pyrford and now lives on the border of Knaphill and St John’s.
He has spent the past 15 years working as an actor and singer and has been in the public eye before, as series champion of the TV Series The Singer Takes it All in 2014.
Since moving into the political field he has developed a passion for local issues and a real enthusiasm for local government. Steve said: “I am committed to keeping our council taxes low and in helping ensure the council works as efficiently as possible for the local residents.
“I am very proud to have been selected in this ward and will work hard to show you that if elected, I will get the results we deserve on the issues that matter.”
