The Leader of Woking Borough Council Cllr John Kingsbury has welcomed George Osborne’s second budget, saying that it will ease the pressure on many Woking families and fits well with the council’s own objectives.
Surrey County Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport, Mr Ian Lake, has today confirmed the Council is to receive £4.17m from central government to repair the damage caused to the County’s roads and highways during the worst winter in 100 years.
Horsell West councillor Beryl Hunwicks has said she is “delighted” at proposals to create a new community hub in Horsell village through the transformation of the area around the Horsell Scouts and Guides Hut.
Two Conservative councillors representing the areas that would be affected by the development of Brookwood Farm have both said that they want to see extensive consultation and residents’ concerns considered carefully.
