I was first elected in 2012 for the old Brookwood ward. I was motivated by a desire to bring improvements to the lives of people I lived with and knew the only way to make a difference was to represent the Conservative Party. It was especially important to me that I stood in the seat where I lived. I spent a few years learning the ropes before joining the Executive in 2018 and I now hold two of the most important portfolios that significantly impact the residents of Woking. The Environmental portfolio covers not only climate change issues, but also health and wellbeing by striving to provide some of the best habitat, bio-diversity and green spaces possible. I launched Planet Woking in 2020 which is the Council’s vehicle for getting the residents involved in our climate change efforts.
