The village of Normandy lies to the south west of Pirbright and is surrounding by a rural area with farms, open countryside and small assorted settlements. The ward itself is in the borough of Guildford but forms part of the parliamentary constituency of Woking.
Councillor for Normandy is David Bilbe, who was elected in 2015. As Guildford council is elected all-out every four years, the next elections here will not be until 2019, although the area forms part of the Worplesdon county division, held by Conservative Keith Witham in 2017.
